| Kit Building Diary 2004 |
| I decided to keep a Photo Diary, of the day to day process of building, more than one kit at a time, you will probably notice I dont work to any set plan or routine,I tend to just go with the flow, dependant on my mood at the time, I hope you enjoy this project, and hopefully it will give some insight into how I work and the methods i use, in pursuit of my beloved hobby thank you for looking. | For my 31st article in this Diary, (has it really been seven months since I started this up) I have gone back to my faveourite subject matter, Wolfman, this one is From forbidden zone, it will need some putty work at all the joints particularly where the head meets the torso, there is quite a gap that needs filling and re-texturing, before I can satrt painting, what is otherwise a superb figure, a real classic Wolfman pose, from Jeff Yeagher, Also the door is to wide for the Frame by a good 1/4 inch, so I have decided to leave it open, another slight problem, with the door, is that I have to position it so the door handle is upside down, to get round this I would have to hang the door on the right, but the for some reason the frame wont accept the door this way round, without major grinding of both the door and the door frame. I can live with the handle being upside down, but for a kit of this price, I would have thought these problems wouldnt arise. M A |

| I have sprayed the whole base, but not the door Black I also decided To have a bit of fun so I started one of the Polar Lights Styrene Odd Rods, the Wolfmans Wagon, I thought these two made a nice contrast of whats available in the hobby, an expensive heavy resin show piece, and a cheap and cheerfull plastic kit, I will get equal enjoyment out of doing them both, Wolfies ride has been glued seamed sanded and primed black ready for colour, more soon M A |

| Wolfmans wagon now has a silver base on to which I will spray a metalic or pearl colour, the Forbiden Zone Wolfman has had a Black primer coat, and Fleshtones airbrushed nothing more done with base today more soon M A |

| Wednesday Morning 03/March/04 |
| I have airbrushed the basic fur colour Sepia Ink onto the Yeagher wolf, I blended this into the flesh tone around the eyeys hands and feet, I did this by using a soft damp brush on the ink while it was still wet, I find this technique works fine on Wolfman Kits, Wolfmans Wagon has been Airbrushed with Golden Yellow Pearl, and Wolfmans Torso is glued and seams puttied and re-textured, ( a complete nightmare) glad thats done I will start on his Legs tomorrow, more then. | I added Orange pearl to the Wagon, and silvered the trim, the back Wheels are Black, and the figure is now seamed and puttied so I started with a basic flesh tone, The yeagher Wolf has had the Fur dry brushed with anitas coffee, then Grey, I will it at that, the shirt is Humbrol, Dark Green acrylic, more tomorrow M A |

| I painted Wolfmans Trousers dark Green then started dry brushing the base first Coffee then Tan, then Sand, still more work needed on the base and the clothes need weathering, I didnt get anything done on te Wagon today more tomorrow M A |

| I had a busy weekend refining the dry brushing on the base, I started adding moss to the walls of the crypt, I have a couple more ideas I want to implement before the base is done, I also airbrushed Wolfmans Clothing, Wolfmans Wagon has its rear wheels and Engine installed I need to touch up the black on the tires, more soon M A |

| The base is now finished, I added the creeping vines, and ferns, I also decided to add a couple of floral wreaths which I made myself, the door is a mix of inks and acrylics, the dark areas, are black ink dabbed on to the unprimed door, with cotton wool, I then lightly airbrushed over this with, a redish brown ink, going heavier in some areas, than others, finally I dry,brushed, first with Coffee then finaly with sand to bring out the detail, a little more moss on the steps, and I painted the name plate Last, more tomorrow M A |
