Billiken Frankenstein, hand painted with acrylics.
This is another kit, that I bought at a knock down price, in Liverpool. Just as with the Dracula kit, the previous owner, had started to paint it, but it was unbuilt. After I had cleaned up the old paint, I had to decide, which colour scheme, I wanted for him, ie flesh tones, or green. I went for the green option, I started, with a base coat, of Cittadel colours, dark angels green, I then applied several dry brush coats, using gradually lighter mixes of green and white, to accent all the highlights, but leaving enough of the base colour, for shading, I gave all the raised areas, ie brows, jaw etc, a final dry brush with ash grey, to give him a mouldy look. After a couple of coats of flat laquer, I washed darkred/purple under his eyes, and round his scars, then blended in a pale yellow wash, to look like bruising. I painted his eyes, with a flat finish, to give them that dead look, the clothes and his hair, are just flat black, dry brushed, with dark grey for highlights.
