| Kit Building Diary 2004 |
| I decided to keep a Photo Diary, of the day to day process of building, more than one kit at a time, you will probably notice I dont work to any set plan or routine,I tend to just go with the flow, dependant on my mood at the time, I hope you enjoy this project, and hopefully it will give some insight into how I work and the methods i use, in pursuit of my beloved hobby thank you for looking. | Things are now a little more settled at home, So I will be able to spend more time on the diary, this is a large scale project, that I am looking forward to tackling, Aliens vs Colonial Marines in mortal combat, should be fun. M A |

| Well this isn`t the update, I was hoping for this is what happens when you are completely clumsy and knock over a built partly painted figure, I am confident I will be able to put this back together, fingers crossed, more tomorrow M A |

| Well here he is all glued back together again I am going to keep this one layed down on its side unti it is fixed finally to the base, once bitten twice shy as they say. M A |

| The Alien is now coming along nicely, I started by spraying the whole figure with Sepia artists ink, when this was done I sprqayed all the high points wit raw Umber ink, The I dry brushed the whole figure with with burnt sienna acrylic, then again with raw sienna, I am currently workig the details with a lighter shade of the raw sienna I wil continue with this until I am happy adding gradually mor white as I go on. more soon M A |

| The Alien is now more or less done and fixed firmly to the base I dont want any more catastrophes, the base is nearly done, now to start work on the Marines more soon M A |

| I started on the base coats of the Marines, I Humbrol Darkgreen shirts, Tamya Khaki pants black armour, Tamya flesh all acrlics, I have some touch up work to do, then I can start some detailing more soon. M A |

| I Worked on the armour dry brushed silver, then gold , bronze, and camo blotches, I also started putting down the camo pattern on trousers, more soon M A |

| I Finished the Camo patern weathered the clothing and armour detailed eyes and teeth, and added, arm and Pulse rifle, another couple of days should see this large project finished. M A |

| Well thats another one finished, its still a huge kit even though I cut the original base down by at least a quarter in size, the grille on the floor that the Alien is bursting out of is my own idea, I cut a piece from the Laundry basket at home, and painted it metalic silver, I think it finishes this part of the kit off a little better, now then whats next on the bench, check back later for update M A |
