Jaydees Seth Geko, from Dusk till Dawn, hand painted in acrylics, Thia was a slight departure for me it was the first kit, I built that was`nt a representation from a classic horror film, the figure is George Clooney captured in a scene from the Tarrantino movie from dusk till dawn where he plays one of the psychotic Geko twins, the other, twin played memorably by Tarrantino himself the scene depicts Seth wastting a female vampire, with a road drill fitted with a wooden stake, a classic scene from a great modern movie, the kit it self consists of seven resin pieces, there wsa quite a bit of filling and sanding of the built up kit before painting, though nothing major was required. the paint job itself was pretty straight forward, although the detailing in Georges face was alittle soft, it was quite a test of my painting techniqes to get it just how I wanted it, I used loads of washes and dry brushing to get the beat up knackered and bloody look that the character had at the end of the movie. I used the same techniques on the slain victim, and added some blood spatters to the floor and Georges pants legs, to finish. All in all not a bad kit, not a classic, by any means, but enough to whet my appetite, for more modern film characters, watch this space. |
