This is one of those Kits that as soon as I saw it I knew I was going to have to get it, there are certain sculptors within the hobby, whose work is of such an incredible, standard, that I await the next project they bring out, knowing, that the Quality, is going to be outstanding, and theyre work, will become a must have for my Collection, one of those sculptors is Mark Van Tine, the man behind this masterpiece, this will go down as one of the best Kong sculpts of all time, Just look at the pictures I dont need to say any more, I deliberately kept the paint Job  subdued as I wanted a naturalistic look, The kit is cast in Black Vynil, with resin Teeth for Kong, I used the black as the base for the Ape, and just dry brushed various shades of Brown Black and Grey, until I was happy.
the Reptile, was base coated, Natural Wood, then I airbrushed, the underside, with Yellow Ochre, and the topside, with Emerald green, I then airbrushed, Burnt Sienna Spots, over the whole Body, I used ink for this to retain some transparency, when all this was dry, I dry brushed, the whole thing, with the Yell ochre, I was going to add more pattern To the Reptile at this stage, but I liked the way it looked so thats the way it stayed, the base got the usual greys, Browns, Greens and Yellows, I also adde some Railway scenics, for a bit of Texture. and thats another on finished the last one for April
All credit to Mark for the Sculpt, and the guys at Alternative Images, for creating an instant Classic.
