Mike Hills
Christopher Lee as the Mummy
BACK
Mike Hills, Hammer Horrors the Mummy, airbrushed and dry -brushed in acrylics. Tis is another outstanding sculpt from the hands of Mike Hill, here we have a 1/4scale, bust, of Christopher Lees, portrayal, of the Mummy in the 1959, Hammer horror, film, As usual with Mike the likeness is absolutely spot on, especially the eyes, Mike has managed to achieve the slyness and cunning, that is apperent in the way Christopher Lee, characterised his part in the movie, you can almost feel the eyes following you around the room, very creepy. As for the paint job, it was very straight forward, I airbrushed the whole kit, with Createx Fawn acrylic, then the Base got a coat of Annitas Coffee, then the whole kit got a heavy wash, with Burnt Umber, when I was happy with the level of the wash coat, I let the kit dry, over night, then I drybrushed the figure only with Yellow  Ochre, artists acrylic, I painted and detailed the eyes, Then gave the whole kit, a further dry-brush with Annitas Sand, and i went over some of the highlights, with a final dry-brush of ash grey, the lettering was done, with a gold paint pen, if you would like to get hold of this excellent piece, contact Killer Kits, click here for the Link,
