Kit Building Diary 2004
I decided to keep a Photo Diary, of the day to day process of building, more than one kit at a time, you will probably notice I dont work to any set plan or routine,I
tend to just go with the flow, dependant on my mood at the time, I hope you enjoy this project, and hopefully it will give some insight into how I work and the methods i use, in pursuit of my beloved hobby thank you for looking.

Wednesday Morning   22/Sept/04
Well after a long summer break its back due to popular demand (Mark M) I have decided to re start the online diary, first up on the bench is Janus Dracula sculpted by Mike Hill, I have to say I am amazed at the amount of work that was required to get this kit to this stage, I assumed that Janus kits where of a higher quality than most others due to the prices charged, and what I have heard of them, even after careful trimming and placement of the vinyl parts, some of the gaps are huge requiring major putty work especially on the cape, as the photos show, the shots have also made apparent more gaps that I missed that will need filling, before I can start with the paint, check back daily for regular updates.

Sunday Morning   26/Sept/04
I have tidied up the Blue and black where they meet the white. still a few bits I missed,
I painted the vest Plaid/beige then drybrushed antique white, the band for the medal is spice red washed with burnt umber, I painted all the buttons black, the watch chain is gold, the medal is burnt umber I will dry brush with gold, I dont want the medal to look as though it is a piece of candy wrapped in gold paper, once I have all the base colours on the clothing as clean as I want them, I will start to dry brush for detail and I will use pastels to add shadow to the inner cape, watch this space.

I finaly got started on the base, which was given a coat of Anitas Chocolate brown acrylic, then an irregular wash with a thinned down Burnt umber ink, tommorrow should see this one done.
