Bride of Frankenstein
BACK

Every now and then a series of kits comes along, that raises standards in the hobby this Bust is part of such a series, the 1/4 scale bust of the Bride, is a partner to two other busts allready released, Dr, Pretorious and Dr Frankenstein,
Click here to see these busts. All three busts where brought about by the Team of John Diaz, and Mark Vantine, Mark is the sculptor, of all three pieces, and the quality of the sculpts is truly extraordinary, the likenesses, and pose, of all three studies, is pure brilliance, these are true classics in the making, the antiques of the future. The casting taken care of by John as ever, with Jayco products is flawless, this piece was ready for primer, straight out of the box, I have dealt with John regularly over the past Twelve months  and have to say the man is pure quality, a true enthusiast, team this with the sublime Skills and enthusiasm for the hobby of Mark as sculptor, and you
have a team that is pretty well unbeatable. now on to the paint up, after a couple of coats of primer, I base coated the flesh tones with Tamya flat flesh, I did the flesh shading, using Make up, then hit the highlights with a pale flesh tone, for the eyes, I wanted to convey a startled expression, without lossing the pretiness that Mark hs conveyed so well in the sculpt, so I tried not to get the shading around the eyes to dark, I am quite pleased with the result, as I have achieved the look I was aiming for, the robes, are, white sprayed over grey green, shaded with yellow pastells, the base is bronze on black. If you dont own this or the other busts in the series,
then drop John a line at Jayco, and be the proud owner of these rein masterpieces, you`ll kick yourself if you dont.
