Mars Attacks no where to hide

This is one of Two, mars attacks kits I have from Screamin, the kits are no longer being produced, but you can still find them if you look hard enough, just beware as there are a lot of recasts out there. This one is a mix, of Resin and Vynil parts, the Figure is mostly resin, the base is all vynil, now this is where to me this kit lets itself down, the vynil is badly misshapen, and no matter how much, heating, filling and generally manipulating, the wall, featuring the door and standing figure, will not remain in shape, I even had to glue this part of the base, to a plywood back board, the problem is the brickwork, bows inwards, but the door bows out, this is not to bad when viewed from the Front, but glaringly obvious from side on,  all these problems, mean I will probably not put the whole kit on display, Rather I will box up the base and just display the Martian figure, which is absolutely brilliant, and worth the price of the kit on its own, the Martian, was Base coated matt black, then I airbrushed the body, with a pearl green, dry brushed, with yellow pearl, the head was dry brushed, with greens purrple, lilac and yellow, the base was airbrushed, with sepia and raw sienna inks, dry rushed, grey, the victims, and the door are all hand painted, with acrylics, I would love to reccomend this kit more highly because the subject matter and the idea is spot on even the figure of the Martian, is well up to scratch, but the base is atotal let down, in my opinion, disapointing.
