Polar Lights
Forgotten Prisoner
Polar Lights The Forgottten Prisoner, Airbrushed and hand painted with acrilics artists inks and enamels  this is another re-issue of an old Aorora classic from the seventies, and one that I built as a kid, in fact the original is probably the only Aurora kit that I can say with absolute certainty when I built it, April 1975
I know this because there is a story to me getting this kit, me and my brother Miles, where staying with my grandparents at the time now my granddad was old school northern English i,e he liked a drink and a smoke, he also liked to bet on the horses, and every year there is a race called the grand national, this is one race where not only hardened gamblers, but mums grannies aunties, everybody has a go, anyway my grandad was giving us all his expert opinion on which horse to back, but my grand mother was having none of it, she was going to go the scientific way, i,e stick a pin in the runners and riders list in the newspaper, and see what comes out, The horse was called L`Escargot, and my grandad went to great lengths to try and  stop us from backing this three legged nag, (his own words) needless to say gran took no notice, and put a few shillings on the horse to win all day we put up with grandads sarcasm and derision, until after the race, when grandma was picking up her winnings, and grandad was drowning his sorrows down the pub. gran in her usual, generous way split her winnings between herself,me, and my brother, thus allowing me to buy the last Aurora kit I ever bought. my grandad is no longer with us, he passed away 15 years ago
but my gran is still here nearly 90 and feisty as ever,re- building this re-issued kit brought back some very very good times in my life, and thanks go again to Polar Lights for re releasing classic well loved kits.  Thanks go out to Keith  cousins for getting this kit for me cheers Mate.
