BACK
Revell Monsters of the Movies Frankenstein, hand painted with acrylics, pastels used for shading flesh tones, This is my last build up of 2002, and its back to basics, after 12 months of building larger scale, resin and vynill kits, this is a small 1/12 scale plastic kit, only the second plastic kit I have built this year, the other one being PLs re-issued prisoner, is it me or has 02 been a quiet year for styrene kits?. this is another re-issue, of an Aurora kit from the seventies, I dont think this series of kits, did as well as the classic Aurora line, I certainly didnt build any at the time of original release. that is not to say that I dont like it, on the contrary, its a cracking little kit to build, and can be picked up on ebay for pennies, (well almost). as for the paint job, very simple, clothing Raw umber dry brushed with coffee, flesh tones very light flesh wit a drop of green mixed in black pastel used for shading, and light grey dry brushed for highlights, its vey difficult to get to much detailing in the features, on a kit of this size, but I think I have brought out whatever detail is there, the base is a mix of browns greens and greys using washes and dry brushing, all in all a nice little kit well worth picking up, ideal for beginners and pros alike, well thats it for 2002 thank you to everyone who has looked at my kits this year and see you all in 03 hope you all have a good one,
