Horizon 1/6th scale vinyl Wolverine, with scratch built base. airbrushed and hand painted, with acrylics, artists oils, pastels, cosmetic make, up artists inks, and enamels. This is my first vynil super hero, also the first in this larger, scale. and I have to say I realy enjoyed building it. I airbrushed, the clothes with acrylics, then shaded by blending in artists oils, I chose this method, rather than my usuall dry brushing technique, because the kit was fairly smooth, with not a lot of texture. I added the tears in the clothing, to give just a little texture, using milliputt, heres a look at the unpainted kit. the flesh tones where painted, with tamya flat flesh, then I did the shading with cosmetic make up and pastels, I sealed this wih a very light coat, of flat laquer, (sometimes vinyl can react to enamel sprays if you over do it) Finaly I dry brushed the veins in his arms with a very pale, flesh artists ink for highlighting. and painted his very wobbly blades, with silver enamel. and attached him to his base. I am looking forward do building some more 1/6 vinyl heroes/villains soon. |
