| Kit Building Diary |
| I decided to keep a Photo Diary, of the day to day process of building, more than one kit at a time, you will probably notice I dont work to any set plan or routine,I tend to just go with the flow, dependant on my mood at the time, I hope you enjoy this project, and hopefully it will give some insight into how I work and the methods i use, in pursuit of my beloved hobby thank you for looking. | I masked the figure, with low tack tape, before spraying the cloak with Humbrol Matt Black, there is always that terrible moment before removing the Masking tape, when you wonder, if the tape is going to lift the paint you have already laid on, or if it has done its job, and protected what you didnt want covering, thankfully on this occasion everything has gone as I wished, and believe me that doesnt happen to often, in the pic Below, you will see I have started laying down the flesh tones on the heads, the Hands on this kit are gloved, so the heads are all I need to worry about, when it comes to flesh tones, more later, time worked 1 hour |

| I Decided to go with a muted colour scheme for the clothing, So I am using, various greys for his suit, and vest Royal blue for his Cloak lining, with the same for his, Tie/Caraffe. obviously I will have to lay on a couple of coats with each colour, then go back later with a fine brush, to clean up any rough edges, most of the work so far has been done by hand brush. The base has been Dry, brushed with greys, the I gave a wash with Chestnut, Brown, The railings, are Antique Bronze, with Gold Finials, I still feel this needs some more work, thats it for this morning time for some lunch, time worked, 40 minutes. |
